DELFT; April 29, 2024 – Vesta Terminal Antwerp N.V. has selected Dropboard as its primary platform for berth planning and scheduling. Dropboard's integrated real-time jetty planning system empowers Vesta to effectively manage the viewing, planning, and scheduling of nominations. This transition to a real time interconnected system optimizes Vesta's planning and scheduling procedures, harnessing Dropboard's constraint-based scheduling logic to enhance both efficiency and precision.
Dropboard is set to seamlessly integrate with the existing terminal management system as well as UAB-Online. This integration with the terminal's management system creates a unified data entry environment, significantly expediting the scheduling process. Simultaneously, the connection with UAB-Online ensures real-time data updates for vessels and barges, enabling Vesta to share accurate information with its stakeholders to further enhance the optimization of the entire supply chain.
In accordance with Vesta Terminals' commitment to safety and the maximization of customer trading margins, this project represents a significant milestone that empowers Vesta Terminal Antwerp (VTA) to respond effectively to rapidly changing circumstances without compromising on safety. The planning module serves as a visual hub where real-time data from the terminal (OTC) and waterside (UAB-Online) converge. This module serves to further align with the core elements of our vision, as it consolidates real-time information, enabling the terminal to devise superior, more efficient, and safer plans. Consequently, our stakeholders will remain informed in real-time, enabling them to seize business opportunities, as noted by Kevin van Hees, Operations Manager at Vesta Terminal Antwerp.
